Y3W26 Day 6

AM:
45 min elliptical machine

Bonus AM:
42 min bike ride while my wife jogged

PM:
A hike at Ellenor Lawrence Park

What a fun day even if my wife was feeling off. We were all set to go out for her morning jog but it was drizzling out and she canceled the run as we were heading out the door. I took it in stride and went to the gym. I got home and rested for about 15 minutes then she was ready to conquer the run. Off we go. The weather was threatening storms all day with occasional rain falling so out choices were limited on what we could do for the rest of the day. One thing high on my list was to test out my one pistol since the last time out a small part broke and required me getting replacement parts online. I had fixed it with out any issues but I could not trust it to work properly until I put 50 to 100 rounds through it.

So off to the range we went. And there was about an hour wait so we bailed on the idea and went hiking nearby.

We saw some really cool blue tailed lizards and many butterflies. And there was fungus among us!

After the hiking we headed back to the range to see if I could get some testing in. I was in luck! there was only a 20 minute wait and they had ammo in stock! Win-win for me! So I tested the pistol and it performed as it should. The replacement parts worked as the should have. Since this was a reliability and function test I only brought the one with me. This one is a pleasure to carry since it is light but it is not one you want to shoot all day. After 75 or so rounds I had the webbing near my thumb swollen some and it was red as well as had a blister form that popped during the 75 rounds. I normally only put about 25 rounds through it and this was 3 times that amount. Now that I know it is good to go it can go back to being a carry option when biking or walking about.
