Work was crazy! I was busy from the early AM until closing time. It was OK since I was feeling marginally better for yet another day. I am past being sick, and now coughing up phlegm. I still don’t have my normal voice back, but it too is close. I hope tomorrow brings me one step closer.

Work was an easier pace today. Being sick did not help it feel that way. I was up again at 2am with the coughing and hacking and did not fall back asleep. Today was about coughing up the phlegm. I hope tomorrow is better because we have some real work to do.

Work was busy again. I still do not have my voice back to normal and I was feeling not quite right but made it through the day. Luck for me we are in a groove for getting the task done now so it was not as bad as it started out to be. Tomorrow I might be 90% feeling better and I will take it.

Then after a nap we went for a neighborhood walk before dinner.

I still have no voice, this is day 2. I am hoping to be closer to normal tomorrow.

Y5W38 day 5

AM:
54 min walked 3.25 miles at incline.

I had no voice this morning. I am sick but thank goodness not laying on the couch like I am dying sick. I went into work and took care of a few tasks then left early at 10 am. I was home after picking up some cough drops and relaxed the rest of the day. I tried for a nap but there was too much going on outside. It is trash and recycling day, the lawn guys came, some equipment was dropped off to resurface our street, so no real sleeping.

I am anxious to see how I am tomorrow. I could be better or I could be worse. Either way to morrow will be interesting.

Today work was like doing Army PT again. It was all up, down and up and down. I am getting sick though. I have a sore throat and am feeling a bit under powered and lacking energy.

Today was a very physical day. I was up and down off the floor and pulling cable. I am at it again tomorrow so I might be really sore. That is OK, it is good to work hard every now and then.

Lately I have been focusing on walking at incline and speed. This can only help me with keeping up on hikes. I have seen a small difference in my flat travel and even some on the hills. My wife still kicks my butt, but I am having an easier time going at her pace on hikes.
