Y3W36 Day 3

AM:
33 min bike ride as my wife jogged.

Today was an adventure. Offsite always is. I’ll be back to finish once “other stuff” gets handled first so I can do my work. Such efficiency!

I forgot to post the picture from yesterday morning. On my long 18 minute drive to work the side of my face felt funny so I rubbed it and then I noticed another spot feeling funny too. As I arrive I can feel pressure building on the two spots on my face.

It must have been a mosquito but it did not feel like it.

Here I am relaxing on the couch with my 2 kitties. India decided to lay on me. she never has climbed on me before like that. Our cats rock.

Today was an OK day. I did not get the rest I hoped for but still did well with the leg presses. Work went by and I was able to lay out work for my 2 off site tasks. The next few days shall be interesting.

Y3W36 Day 1

AM:
60 min elliptical stepper alternating 5 min intervals of stepper and elliptical

Monday has come and gone. Today was exciting, there was a tornado watch for our area. We watched but did not see any. I am hoping for some good gym time tomorrow so I can get a good lifting session in. I feel like if I get a good night sleep I will be strong with the lifting. Last session I was still feeling tired and weak from being sick. Here’s to tomorrow being even better than today.

Y3W37 Day 7

AM:
a hike down to the river!

With the “parks” closed we decided to hike in a Northern Virginia park system park. We mad it down to the river then went parallel to the river for a while. We eventually came to a sign with a National Parks Service logo on it. Surprisingly the trail was not blocked or marked closed. We also saw a few people out hiking as well.

We had a good time but between sweating out the alcohol from the block party, the heat and the 100% humidity (I always thought that meant it was raining out) it was a tough hike.

I forgot to post the results from breaking in the new SR22 and G19. Both shot very well and were controllable. The SR22 might be my new favorite for target practice. It was smooth with not felt recoil. My wife is really going to enjoy shooting this one.

The last one is dinner! We had some leftover chicken that I did not cook for yesterday’s meal so we added asparagus and a rice medley mix. YUM!

Y3W35 Day 6

AM:

Today was an amazing day! I was up early, hit the gym, went to the range to do some target shooting with two new ones, then went grocery shopping for the block party and was complete by 10 am! I had some food and took a nap. That is where I made my mistake. Cooking the burning hot and spicy chicken bites, the honey mustard bites, the veggie platter and the quinoa salad took longer than I had planned. Also it was 90 degrees today! This street golfing party was moved from the summer time so we could enjoy cooler weather and bam! 90 degrees in October.

What a great night of sleep! I Was in bed by 6:30 pm and had a full and restful night of sleep. I woke up refreshed and was able to get through the work day with a clear mind. Tomorrow is out neighborhood golf/block party. I can’t wait. It is a good time with all the neighbors.

Y3W35 Day 4

Today was brutal! I woke up to pee at 11:30 pm and noticed a car sitting across the street from my neighbor’s black Honda accord with a person laying back in it with it running. I thought that was strange so I went out to my wife’s truck parked on the street diagonal from the car and realized this strange car with out of state tags has been on our street before. I drove around the block and got the license plate number and wrote it down. I headed back into the house and tried to go back to sleep. No luck. I get up again at 12:03 to pee (and check on the car) and it is gone. I was cranked up and did not really fall back asleep for the rest of the night. So with about 2.5 hours of sleep I debated on calling in sick. I decided to work my day and made it through but it is now 6:18pm and I am going to bed for the night. My honey is not even home from the library yet but I am done. I hope I sleep good tonight.

Today was a rest day for the most part. I needed to get work done and I did, but once home I rested. I felt like I was getting sick again so it made sense to me to take it easy. I hope to feel good tomorrow and just be done with being sick!

Today was a fun day of work. Well not exactly fun, more like well it was a day of work. The weather was nice so I pedaled in so I could get some bonus exercise. It was nice, not too cool in the AM and it was warn but comfortable in the PM. For dinner I decided to make something different with the ground chicken to replace the normal goto meal of nachos. I made a meatloaf. I chopped up mushrooms, onions, and pepper and cooked them together in a pan with some fake butter. I mixed them into the ground chicken and added 2 eggs and catchup. On second thought I added ketchup. I added some breadcrumbs as well as some of the stuffing mix that was left over from the other night. The meal was a hit! We had brussel sprouts and leftover stuffing to complete the meal. Afterwards the entire family was chill’n on the couch watching some TV.

This AM was a rough one. We had a weird dinner last night and my stomach was more active than normal. I had to cut my gym time short so I could get back home and enjoy the reading room at my leisure. I was OK at work all day so that was a plus. I hope tomorrow to feel 100% again.
