I still have the plague! No gym today. I went into work and did 4 hours and finished the two priority requests then went home. I was done. I fell asleep on the couch watching TV. I am blaming Pandora. She snuggled on me and the extra kitty heat put me unconscious.

Y3W39 Day 1

AM:
30 min elliptical machine
20 min bike

The gym session was rough. I was still feeling sick but decided to give it a go. I figured after skipping the last 2 days I needed some activity. Today was not an EPIC day at the gym. Work was not an EPIC day either. We got work done that was pressing and did some demo, but I was feeling dookie all day. At one point my throat hurt so bad I went into the bathroom to look. It looked like I had bumps in my throat and that is was very red. My personal nurse checked me when she got home and did not see any bumps but did notice the redness of my throat. Tomorrow may or may not be a work day depending on how I feel.

Y3W38 Day 7

Today was another no workout day. I was feeling ill. I have a sore throat and I feel beat, and that is after sleeping in until 9:15am. Today’s big activity was decorating our front yard for Halloween. It took over 3 hours so it was an activity. I was able to take some pix from last night of the Trail of Terror before the sun set.

No workout today. Today is the Douglas Park Neighborhood—Trail of Terror! We had to be there at 9:30 AM to wet up and worked until after 1PM. Tonight is going to be Spooktacular!

Y3W38 Day 5

AM:
50 min elliptical machine

Another grinder today. We were working all day and finally caught a break. The one person that dumped 5 big requests pulled them back. They are not quite ready for us which is a relief! Unfortunately when they do come we will be grinding harder since more equipment will be added to the work.Oh well, we will get it done.

Y3W38 Day 4

AM:
2 rounds of 8 reps and 25 lb dumbbells

Push-ups
DB overhead press
squats
dead lifts
curls
sit-ups

40 min lower body elliptical machine alternating each minute of not holding on to the rails and pushing it and one minute of holding on and going slower.

Work has been insane. We received 5 more requests today. We are buried in work. We are also catching heat for something that was not our fault. We got the blame and the person was not forthcoming with why it too him 40 minutes to figure out it he plugged it in wrong! WOW, some people.

Our kitties were extra cute today and I had my camera to capture the moments.

Y3W38 Day 3

AM:
45 min walk on treadmill at incline

I woke today with a sore throat and body aches. I took it easier in the gym today and worked through my day feeling off. I am hoping for a good night of sleep and maybe feeling better. I can’t tell if I am still getting sicker, maintaining or getting better. Maybe the morning will hold the answer.

Today was a crazy, busy day at work. We are still 4 to 6 requests behind and they are coming due and the pressure is on. We are doing our part but things are not just falling into place as they could. I am slightly under the weather again and my mind is slower than it should be. I am helping my coworker with what ever he needs as the 2 priority requests are both for the same cabinet and we both can’t work within the same 24 inches by 42 inches. Tomorrow should be the completion of the 2 and then we can get back to things as usual.

Today I felt like a million bucks when I got up. I had a good lifting session at the gym and decent cardio. Work is where things went down hill. I started feeling sick and sneezing around lunch time. I hope to not be getting sick but often you have no control over it. I am hoping for a good night of rest and I made a super chicken soup with lots of garlic to try to kick it out of my system. I hope I will be feeling good tomorrow, we will see.

Y3W37 Day 7

PM:
Hiking at Harpers Ferry area!

We hiked up to the scenic over view in an hour but then my cell phone turned itself off so I lost track of the remaining hiking we did. My wife turned on her tracker and recorded another 2 hours of hiking so it was a busy day. I was tired before we left the house and my knee was sore before I started so today was not an epic day. I survived the day but I did not thrive today. I took a 30 minute nap after getting home and showered. We had to finally turn on the heat in the house so maybe I will sleep better now and waking in the morning will be a warmer experience.
