Today was our neighborhood block party and golf tournament. It is a day of fun, drinking, good food, laughs, mini golf, and even a kids movie night.

Today was prep day for the block party tomorrow. I made a hot sauce/salsa. I pureed habanero, jalapeno, and chile peppers with some garden tomato, lemon juice and dry spices. my hands are still burning from the peppers 2 hours later. That is some heat.

Today was a physical day of work, I had to pull cable. It was not horrible but it was more physical than usual and I was already sore from my 10 sets of ten workout the other day.

Today was Offsite day. I was in and out early so that was good. I have been doing some major day dreaming about a different vehicle as a vacation and travel rig. I have found a great design (I think so anyway) of roof top tents for SUVs. They are a collapsible design for traveling down the road and you expand them once you get to site. Much quicker to set up, you just crank a handle. The actual vehicle part is where I am falling behind at. My truck is great for most of what we like to do. The suspension is soft so I really have to worry about dragging the hitch when bringing the bike. Also we can’t camp in the truck. My wife does not care and likes to use a tent but I don’t like being on the ground. This would be a compromise for us both, tent camping but not on the ground. Of course this would work on anything from a suburban to 4runner to jeeps to elements. I am leaning towards a larger vehicle that can have a suspension lift and bigger tires to give the bike more clearance and when not with the bike, give us opportunities to explore some rougher dirt roads that we check out now. This is just in the dream stages, but this most likely become a reality. I found vehicles in the 2,000 to 4,000 price range and would expect these high mileage trucks would be needing a new transmission and or engine sooner rather than later. Even with these costs it would be cheaper than buying one used and low mileage. I am keeping my eyes open and my dreams big!

Happy Monday! well as happy as it could be. Life is good and that is all that matters. oh and we are Ebola free since 1993! Well it has been our whole lives, but I needed a three to rhyme with free.

It is funny the map does not show the pond in the middle of the park. To the best of our knowledge you can’t walk from one side to the other. Maybe it can be done.

We had a great time there were fish, turtles, snakes and frogs. Also squirrels and birds galore. We walked around lost for a while when we followed a trail that dead ended and we blazed our own paths.
