50 min elliptical machine

My wife gets home today! I can’t wait to see her. She fractured a bone near her elbow and will be needing some TLC.

I did not do an afternoon workout but did go shopping and cleaned the kitchen some since she will not want to come home to a mess.

This weekend and activities should be interesting with the injury.

Today was a crazy day. Work went well off site but when I returned to the office I locked my keys in my truck. It took me about 45 minutes to get in. I did it but I was sweating like I just jogged a mile. Way to go Joe!

Today was a mentally busy day. Tomorrow will be an active day offsite. My better half is still on vacation in Florida and fell off her bike rental today and hurt her arm pretty good. She ended up in the ER and might be getting a cast on her arm. Poor honey bunny, she got a boo boo.

Today was a good day but I was tired for part of the day. I am hoping for a god night sleep and to feel recharged after that. My legs are still rubbery from the hike and I think tomorrow will be back to normal. I can only hope.

That was all I did besides working today. My leg muscles are trashed! The hike really got the best of me. I hope tomorrow to feel normal. Even if I don’t I will still need to do 2 workouts.

Y3W19 Day 7

Today was filled with adventure! I drove to West Virginia to do some hiking at Harper’s Ferry and then a trip to the Casino and horse track. A fun day all by myself.

I did OK at the Casino. I gambled with 60 dollars and won 30 of it back. I did spend some of it on lunch and dessert and watched one horse race. I was lucky on my hike today because there was a 60% chance of thunderstorms but I did just fine. When I made it back to the truck it just started to rain. I had a similar experience at the casino. As I left it started to rain again.

So here are the pix maybe not in order: there is my dinner of Chicken Haleem, an amazing orange colored bird in a tree, the view of Harper’s Ferry from the scenic overlook, a small waterfall, some flowers, and pictures at the race track.

Y3W19 Day 6

AM:
20 min elliptical bike steady pace
10 min elliptical bike intervals

PM:
neighborhood bike ride to Blues festival.

Today was a good day. I missed my wife and the activities we would have shared but still enjoyed my day. I pedaled over to the area where the Blues festival was going on. I had some lunch and watched as they set up for the show. I did not stay long enough for the actual music to start, I just caught some of the sound check stuff. If my wife was here I would have stayed for more. I was able to make a meal that I never would if she was home. I cooked bacon with my steak and veggie! YUM! I almost forgot, our Hastas are growing like they are on steroids!

Today was filled with adventure, mystery, murder and then I woke up from my nap. Today was a standard day. Not Bad. I jogged for a mile today on the treadmill and my knee was sore later in the day. Looks like running is not in my future any time soon.

PM:
Interval training on the elliptical machine
10 min of 20 second sprints / 40 second recovery
4 min of 20 seconds arms only / 40 second recovery
6 min of 20 second sprints / 40 second recovery

Dinner was BBQ chicken, 45 calorie 97% fat free hotdogs, baked beans, raw veggie tray and cherries with huge strawberries for dessert. Here is a picture of the monster!
