My wonderful wife was off yesterday and was cleaning the house. When she was finished she decided to “fix: the slow draining tub. She added Drano and before she knew it the drain was completely blocked. Worse yet, when we ran the water in the sink it would back flow into the tub and push rust and crud into the tub. With our weekend plans we could not leave the tub like this so I tried calling plumbers out to do an emergency repair. No luck. So I talked with my boss and he let me go home to work on it. It took me 2 trips to Home Depot but I got it done. The drain is working like new. I even was able to go back to work for a couple hours and not lose a full day’s pay.

Y3W30 Day 4

AM:
18 min walking at 10% incline on treadmill 2.5 to 3.9 MPH
35 min elliptical machine

Today was another grueling day. Lots of work done and lots more to do. I am really looking forward to the weekend! Today was a diet day and I did good. I consumed 1,620 calories. That is 20 to many, but that is also an insignificant amount. I feel good!

Today was another crazy busy day. It worked out well for since it was a diet day. I stayed under 1,600 calories for the day but it was tough in the evening. I splurged at lunch and had a bowl of broccoli and cheddar soup besides my salad with grilled chicken breast. this bumped my calories 250 points higher mid day. Had I skipped the soup I could have enjoyed some fruit for dessert this evening. Instead I am feeling a bit hungry. Maybe next time I will do things differently.

I worked all day today. I was busy from shortly after getting in to a little before it was time to go. It was good but it was crazy! Today was a regular eating day, so I did not count calories.

Y3W29 Day 7

AM:
We did a hike along the Potomac River.

We saw many folks out enjoying the water and the great outdoors. We saw plenty of chipmunks running around and a few blue tailed lizards. Today was a good day!

It looks like my cell phone was not taking good pictures today. The two of me are scary! In one I look like I should be on the Walking Dead (zombie show) and in the other I look like I could be evil! I wasn’t even trying for evil in the photo shoot. The picture of the kitties was a great one to catch. Pandora left our couch to go lay next to India. We never saw that before.

Y3W29 Day 5

Work was busy today. I spent most of my time working and not at my desk. I did not feel hungry most of the day which was great. I did well with my calories today. I totaled 1,612 for the day. I can live with 12 calories over. Tomorrow is a regular day and our neighbors are having a party so I can enjoy all that I want. WooHoo!

Today was a normal day for eating and I sure did. I even had some ice cream! Work was fairly busy and that helps the time pass. tomorrow is the fasting day. I think it will go well. this is working out for me so far.

Y3W29 Day 3

AM:
33 min bike ride while my wife jogged.

Today was a bit of a busy day which was good. Today was also the diet/fasting day and I keep calories to 1,555 which was great. It is tough getting through the day at some points, but keeping carrots as a snake keeps the hunger down. As long as I am busy I do not notice, but when I am at my desk I sure do. Today was a much lighter exercise day than I have had in a long time. I should have done more in the afternoon but I was tired and sleepy on the couch with my Kitty sleeping on me so no extra exercise. Tomorrow will be a good gym morning and hopefully I will have the energy to bike and watch True Blood on DVD.
