Today was lazy day. The Fed GOV was closed today so I did not need to go into work. I relaxed and even took a nap. We did get about 6 inches of snow so being off was called for. Tomorrow will be a work day though and I will be off site. Oh well, today was fun at least.

Today I had an amazing day planned. We were going to go hiking because the weather was so warm. But the plans fell apart. We needed to drop off my wife’s car for servicing and our bikes for servicing. She has been sick with a cold for over a week now and had a horrible night of sleep. She was very congested and upset she felt like like crap and had a mini meltdown crying and upset. We will have other warm days to enjoy together. I took the time today to get the dirtbike ready for the trip and to clean some of my truck. I also texted the bros and even spoke to one of them for a while. In all it was still a good day, just not the one that was planned.

Crazy work day! Some days just are. We had someone turn in a task request and expect it to be done in 2 days. We are supposed to get two weeks. On top of that the info was wrong within the request and the guy had to redo it. I was at least happy with my trips to the gym today. I feel like the 2 a days are feeling right again. I am not missing the lazy time I was having at home and my wife has been letting me watch one of my shows in the evening so I don’t feel like I am missing out on my stuff. I have been consistently eating better all week and have been generally feeling upbeat. Life is good!

Boy was I sore still from the dumbbell routine on Monday. It was tough getting through it even though it was only 5 reps each exercise. The rest of the exercises were feeling OK and the cardio in the afternoon felt great. I was active at work today taking the stairs each trip between the 5th and 4th floors. I feel good about today (and the last few days). Now that I am back into an after work exercise routine all is good in the world. I expect after a few weeks of this I will see a few pounds drop off.

The day dragged on but I made it through it. I woke up early and struggled to fall back asleep. When I was busy I was OK but when things slowed down I really felt tire. I hope for a better night of sleep tonight.

I am feeling sore from the little dumbbell workout I did yesterday. It really worked me. I plan to start my lifting tomorrow again with it if I can.

Today I felt fairly good. My knee was sore but I was OK. I had work to do which was nice and the day flowed better thanks to that. After work I needed to go to the bank, the gym, then grocery shopping. Once home it was putting away the groceries, feeding the cats and cooking dinner. Today was a long day!

We went to Potomac Mills Mall and walked, and walked, and walked. We covered 2.2 miles in the mall. This was the only activity of the day since I did something dumb yesterday and I am paying for it today. Yesterday I was crossing the street and the light was getting ready to change. As it hit yellow I ran across the street. I ran. That did me in. My knee is hurting again from running 20 steps. This sucks. I took advil today before our adventure and it did not help. I still felt some pain walking in the mall. Bummer.

Sometimes you just need to go with it. You may not like it, you may not want to go with it, but fighting it does not work. I woke up at 2 AM this morning. I tried to fall back asleep until about 20 minutes. So I got up. I started my morning and was in the Gym ridiculously early, especially for a Saturday. I was back at the house by 4:15 AM. Crazy! My wife was up and getting ready to pick up he coworkers and head to the nursing conference in Baltimore. I had breakfast, watched some TV and at 5:30 AM I was ready for bed. I did sleep in until 9am. This was actually too late to sleep in since I had stuff to take care of today, namely getting the Honda serviced for our trip. I dropped the truck off to get all the fluids changed, state inspection, timing belt replaced and new spark plugs. There was some real sticker shock with the prices of service. The coolant, trans fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, transfer case fluid, and rear differential fluids are not cheap since almost all of them are synthetic fluids. The cost was estimated at 2,500. that did include doing the timing belt and new spark plugs etc too. Wow that is a lot. I had an issue with my credit card the other day at the grocery store so I was concerned it would not swipe properly so I walked to the bank and withdrew the 2500 in case I need to pay cash. While at the bank I get a call from the service station. My truck failed inspection. Both motor mounts need to be replaced. that is another 980.00 Holy shit on a shingle. So I withdrew the extra 1,000. Once all was done I rode my bike down to the place with the 3,500 cash just in case the credit card did not work ( I had protection with me) and I was happy to see the card did work. So Monday the cash goes back into the bank then off to the credit card company. What an expensive day it was.
