Today was a slow day. There were geese and let me tell you about my cat’s breath! The day was OK. We had some work to do and we got it done. Life is good! I was happy today I was able to add one repetition to my dumbbell routine. It took me 29 minutes to get through it. I am hoping to get to the point of doing 10 sets of 10 and using heavier dumbbells. That most likely will be a full morning workout.

I have received some constructive criticism from a family member and want them to know I thought about what they said and will make every effort possible to limit my talking on here of really bad gas and poop! I will still need to convey the message so I will need to come up with “code words” so we can still know what is going on but the general public will be no wiser.

Instead of farts I will sometimes refer to “my cat’s bad breath” or “roses by another name”. I also have the the old stand by “I hear Geese”. If they are extremely toxic I will need something a bit more expressive, maybe “rotting corpse flowers” or “garbage dump decay”. I believe the point will not be missed by those in the know.

As for poop I might need to be more creative. a regular trip to the toilet could become “the Jersey Shore” and a really bad one can be a “Toxic Hazmat spill”.

So let’s try this out. All day at work I did not smell my cat’s breath at all. My coworker did not smell my cat’s breath either so it was a good day for both of us. I think this can work.

Last night we had chili with black beans for dinner. I had 2 bowls. That was a mistake. I was farting light mad this morning before getting to the gym and I was struggling to keep the stink on the inside of me. I even needed to take a break and poop at the gym. I did make it through 30 minutes of the elliptical machine but even then I was clenching my butt cheeks. There were enough people in the gym this AM that there was no way I could fart and get away with it. The stink was strong today. I did not pack gym clothes for after work since I expected to still be toxic. I went grocery shopping and cooked dinned and never did get my second workout in. Tomorrow is a new day. I hope the funk will have passed by then.

Y4W7 Day 7

AM:
1 hour 54 min hike at Donaldson Run.

Today was a lazy kind of day. It was in the 40’s and I was having a hard time getting going. We decided on a local hike and I decided on not going to the gym first since I had leg muscle cramps and today was supposed to be a weight lifting day. I never got into a grove. I work my back up pair of hiking shoes and my feet ended up hurting, my knees were sore and I felt winded on the hills. In other words today was not my day. Not every day will be my day, but it was disappointing after yesterday being such a great day.

Today was amazing! We took a long hike and had a great time. We saw Cardinals, horses, and otter! and heard frogs and two owls hooting to one another. today sounded like love was in the air!

This morning’s weight workout rocked. I added a round to the dumbbell routine and really felt it. At some point I might be doing that routine as the entire workout once I am up to 10-12 reps of each exercise and can do 8 to 10 rounds. I also expect I will increase the weight of the dumbbells along the way.

I needed to get gas again and I am happy to report it was incident free this AM. No knuckleheads around this time.

Today was a good day. I needed to tighten my belt another notch. This is the second time I had to do that. Good things are happening even though the scale is barely moving downward. I expect this will continue for a while at a slow pace. That is fine with me. Progress is what matters and I am going in the right direction.

I heard from my buddy Danny. He proposed to his girlfriend and she said yes. Good for him. He seems really happy and they seem like they are good for one another. I never met her in person yet, but Danny is a good guy so I expect she is too.

Today was an off site day. It went well though the equipment I was connecting was not there. I did what I could and someone else will need to take it from there. I am looking forward to weight lifting tomorrow. I hope I feel energized and strong. I was feeling pretty good all day today so I hope it continues into tomorrow.
