Y3W50 Day 3

Today was a funky day. I had a check up with my Doctor and needed to have blood drawn since it has been years since my last visit. I needed to go to the lab down the hall. So I am there as it opens at 8AM. The Tech there was retired Air Force and we talked a bit. I let him know I have had blood drawn before, but there was one time when I was about 15 I needed a tetanus shot and passed out on my way back to the waiting area after the needle. I have not passed out since then so all is good but I wanted him to know it could happen. Yep, it happened. After the needle and 3 vials of blood were drawn I felt OK. Then all of a sudden my stomach felt very empty, I started getting warm and my vision was fading out as a dizziness filled my head. My vision started to lose the peripheral vision first so I knew what was coming. I told the guy I needed to get on the floor quickly. The chair had an arm across my stomach/chest to keep me from falling out but I could slide under it. He helped me to the the door frame then down to the ground. I had to lay on my back with my feet elevated. I never fully blacked out but I was close! That was my excitement for the day. It is OK to laugh. I was laughing afterwards.

Today was a very active day. I was up and down ladders all day and working hard enough to be sore. I had a very interesting event occur today. I got the runs! I had some yogurt with breakfast that was past the expiration daye but smelled good. I mixed it into my oatmeal and when eating it I noticed there sometimes was a bit of a zing in the flavor. Kind of like when apple cider starts to turn. It did not taste bad, just a zing. Well after being at work for about 2 hours there were some grumblings in my tummy. I rushed to the bathroom where I got to experience the full fury of old yogurt. Then I got to experience it again about 35 to 45 minutes later. It was crazy! Things settled down and I am back to normal but it was crazy! Crazy like I would have called in sick to work if it started while I was at home.

Y3W49 Day 7

walked around for over an hour looking at Motor homes and campers at the expo center. Lots of up and down stairs.

25 min neighborhood walk.

Today was a fun day and a good day. I got my time in at the gym, and we went to the RV expo in Chantilly, VA. We were able to board large bus motor homes worth up to 500,000 as well as some small tow behinds priced at 9,000. Every one of the motor homes had a 3 to 5 stairs to climb and that wore me out. My knee was screaming at me and I needed to take advil. I did some big dreaming today for when I hit the lottery.

Today was a weight lifting only day at the gym. The gym was packed. I will need to get up early in the AM on the weekends to exercise in the gym until all the new years resolution members stop coming in.

Today I was on my feet almost all day. I was up and down a ladder a few time also. My body was sore enough at lunch that I needed to take some advil. We are ramping up with work again and the work is piling up. That is good though as it will keep me moving throughout the day.

Today was a fun day. I slept a good night’s sleep and woke up refreshed. The gym was productive and I was active at work. I even used a ladder for some of my work. Tomorrow looks to be busier. A busy day is a good day.

Today Family headed back home. They traveled safely and made it no problem. Work passed by quickly as we had some tasks come in today as well as some meeting with the boss and some storage room clean-up. All in all it was a good day.

Today was the coldest it has been in years. It was 3 degrees with a wind chill making it feel worse. My truck started roughly this am and my power window froze in the down position when I took a parking ticket for the underground lot at my gym. It was warn underground so my window eventually worked but I thought I was screwed. I wore a long sleeve shirt at work today. I have not done that in years unless working in new construction where the heat is not on yet. Crazy!
