Snowpocalypse strikes the Washington DC metro and surrounding areas. This dangerous wintery storm dumped snow totals up to an inch in some areas. At 4:30 am there were already 3 accidents reported on major commuting roads with more expected.

AND NOW LIVE COVERAGE FROM THE FICTIONAL NEWS NETWORK:

DC declares a State of emergency as the area gets partially blanketed in up to 1 inch of snow. National Guard units are mobilized to assist families stranded in their homes with no means to dig out from this mess.

Requests for assistance have reached far southern states to send all available snow removal equipment to assist in this developing situation.

Residents are being asked to hunker down in place and leave the heat on in their homes and go about their normal lives as if it did not snow.

Some local politicians are calling for the immediate ban on snow.

Democratic representatives from the area are pleading with the local population to call their local leaders and demand action be taken now.

“How many commutes are we going to let get damaged in the storms that happen in this area. Whether it is snow, rain or fog our area suffers hours of additional commute time in the wake of these storms. The time for action is now! If we can save even one minute of commute time don’t we owe it to our people of the area to pass new regulations to outlaw snow in the area?”
