Run Fast!

Today was my fast mile day.  I do a fast mile twice a week. I am now pretty consistent with getting a mile in 8:30.  That is still not fast by any means but fast for me and that is what this is all about.

AM:
8:34 min mile
50 min elliptical machine

PM:
11 min mile
50 min elliptical stepper

Oh Boy let me tell you about the wonderful Valentine’s day meal I cook for me and the wife. It was Middle eastern inspired. I wanted to recreate a ground meat kabob that we like. We had ground chicken and I pureed some chick peas and seasoned the heck out of it. I formed patties and cooked it in the pan. I made a yogurt sauce to top of with. Darn it looked good. I wish it tasted good to. Looking at it and knowing what i put into it, I was shocked that it tasted like overcooked hamburgers made from ground chicken. I should have chopped up the patties and made a meat sauce with them and boil some pasta. Tonight was the the first time in a while that I was disappointed in how my dinner turned out. It i snot even like it tasted bad, but the flavors totally did not equal the ingredients I put into it. I don’t remember that happening before.

Sometimes creativity rewards those that venture out into new endeavors,  today was not one of those days…
