Week 50 Day 3

AM:
19:20 2 mile jog
40 min elliptical machine

PM:
25 minutes of push-ups, sit-ups and body weight squats.

Today was an interesting day. I had high hopes for it but the day fizzled away. I baked a chicken last night and had it set too high in the oven on the shelves. The thing splattered everywhere! What a mess. I am not much of a baker. Give me pans and fire and I can cook up some good food. Baking for me is hit or miss. Yesterday the food was a hit but the cooking was a miss. Anyway our oven has a self clean feature. So I got that going and little did I know it takes 3 hours for it to run it’s course. I also learned that our smoke detector works great. I repeatedly set the thing off, even with our exhaust fan running and windows open. I was worried the neighbors were going to call the fire department. Poor Daisy was confused out of her mind. She hid in the computer room behind the desk. She never does that. So with that going on I was not able to leave the house and go to the gym so I did a light workout at home. Not great for me but it was something.

I enjoyed my dinner tonight. I baked the chicken yesterday and today added mashed potatoes with fat free gravy and brussel sprouts. We don’t eat the brussel sprouts much. Nothing amazing about the meal but it tasted good and was a great warm and cozy meal after having windows open for 3 hours in the cold temperatures we had today.
