Week 25 Day 6

Weigh-ins!

That is another couple pounds down since last week!  I am just 17.2 pounds away from my goal of losing 100 pounds!

So at the gym I decided to jog for 30 minutes on the treadmill then get on the elliptical machine for 25 minutes.   I had a full body sweat and that was great!  It has been rough the last few weeks with the weight loss really slowing down.  There are some things I can do better but for the most part I feel I am doing good.

After getting home, fed and showered, my wife took me peach picking and then for a bike ride along the C&O Canal.

It was a cool experience.  The trees were low to the ground and the peaches were everywhere.  We have enough to last a family of five for days,  so the two of us should get three days out of our supply.  Did I mention they were sweet?    While there we stopped by to say hi to the goats.

The goats were funny, they would butt each other out of the way.  and then they would “meeaah” at each other.  From here it was off to the C&O canal.  We rode in the mostly shady area up past Swains Lock heading towards Harper’s ferry.   We rode for 1 hour and 25 minutes.  Even though we were in the shade it was hot.  We went a little over 12 miles.  That was not far and not fast but it was still 92 degrees and humid.  We did good.  We did not take any pictures of the ride which is unusual for us but the heat had us beat.  My wife was being sneaky on the way back.  I noticed she was going faster and faster so I had to ask her “Honey, are you racing me?”  she laughed and said yes but did not want me to know we were racing.  That made me go extra fast!    Look at my butt now baby!    I would sprint ahead standing up while peddaling and get a huge lead and then I would let her catch up, and then she would pass me!  So back to sprinting for me.  I am not going to say who won the race but while I was at the truck waiting for her…

We had Middle eastern for dinner tonight.   Chicken Haleem and chick peas over white rice.  Yes I ate too much.  But it was good and I went more than a week without middle eastern so I did not feel bad.  I also had cherries and fresh pineapple.  All in all the day was great.
