Y3W7 Day 6

Another sore day. Today I felt the best I have and even went for a walk with my honey bunny in the afternoon. It was slow and torturous, but good to do. We walked for 45 minutes. She was very productive today without me, she jogged over 6.5 miles earlier in the day. Maybe tomorrow I will be able to go to the gym and pedal the recumbent bike for 20 or 30 minutes.

Y3W7 Day 5

No workout today. I am still hurting. I was feeling better this morning. I was walking between two rooms and my wonderful cat decided it was play time and darted between my feet then bit me. I stumbled and bumped the wall pulling tight all the muscles in my back. She is the best! I do try to play with her in the mornings so it was not her fault but darn I was mad!

Y3W7 Day 4

I returned to work today. I was very sore and felt like another day at home would have been a great thing to do. This evening I am feeling the best I have for days so I think I am on the road to recovery. It was really tough taking my prescriptions and staying awake at work. The medicines were putting me to sleep at home and I was knocked out for hours! If all goes well I should be back in the gym on Monday doing a light workout.

Another day of the couch and taking my prescriptions. I called in today since I did not feel good enough to go to work.

Y3W7 Day2

Today was all day pain meds and sleeping. Tomorrow I am scheduled to return to work. I expect to go but don’t know how productive I will be. I am still hurting pretty good.

155-3–Hurt my back on the 3rd one!

So I I know I hurt my back. I go into work and think I can make it through the day. WRONG! So I go home rest a bit then off to the Emergency room. I am on 2 days rest and 3 prescriptions. Hopefully I will be feeling better on Wed, when I go back to work. Hopefully it is only a muscle issue and not something more serious.

Bike ride with the wife jogging 7.61 miles!

My wife kicked ass today. She picked the route as she went and totaled a good amount today.

That was it for the daily activity. We did go shopping and walk around in the store but the weather was not great so we limited our outdoor times.

Y3W6 Day 6

Today we were having some surveys for estimates to fix the water problem we have with our basement stairs. Our day was tied up for a few hours with it. I did get to break away for a while and score a great deal on some TV box sets of Scrubs (7 seasons) the Unit (2 seasons) the Wire (? seasons) and a bunch of DVD movies that I might never even watch. All for $66.00! there was even an xbox 360 game thrown in and I don’t have an xbox. Still I would have spent far more buying the Scrubs series alone.WooHoo!

Today was another “busy on my feet most of the day” kind of day. I got through the day and had some laughs helping my friend’s mom navigate through DC to get to our work site to pick him up. He is having car troubles and needed to get back home. She was using some very colorful words as she was honking and screaming at cars. Then when I got home I was able to hang out with my Bro-in-law for a while. It was cool and added to a great day.

Y3W6 Day 4

AM:
30 min elliptical machine

Today I worked off site and needed to be in the office an hour early to get my update from the day before so I could handle another task while out there. It seems like the tasks don’t go as written out there as the information is wrong half the time and I need to call for corrections while doing the work. That takes longer and is more draining. I still got it done so I am happy. Today is my wife’s birthday and I surprised her with flowers sent to work and I wrapped up a box of cake mix as an added gift! It is a running joke with us and it never gets old. This year she decided she wanted to bake the cake! it was good!

I don’t know what I did to my left ankle but it is swollen and sore. I took advil and still feel some discomfort walking on it. I am hoping a good night of sleep will have it feeling better in the morning. That’s it, time for bed.
