Y2W19 Day 6

What a day,  I almost forgot to blog.   I was busy with sleeping in, hitting the gym then getting my truck serviced.  walked home from the service center up a big hill that had me sweating.  I went to work on my motorcycles but both batteries were dead.  I expected the one to be dead but not both.  That meant I could not use the other bike to go to the motorcycle dealership to get a new battery. D’oh!   I got the scooter battery charged and was about to go out for a ride when I realized the inspection sticker is expired!  Double D’oh!  The service center called and said my truck was ready so I pedaled my bike back there.  So it was not the day I planned or hoped for but it was not a bad day.  Maybe tomorrow will be better, there may even be some Diablo 3 in my future…

Y2W19 Day 5

Long day!  I jogged 6 miles this am.  I skipped the pm workout as  I was too tired.  I hope tomorrow is filled with fun and exercise!

Y2W19 Day 4

I have been finding it easier to lift in the mornings.  The equipment is free and I can go my own pace.  Today I did bench press, leg press and cable flies followed by 20 minutes on the elliptical machine.      After work I did another 35 minutes on the elliptical machine.  I feel good and am looking forward to jogging in the morning!

Y2W19 Day 3

What a day!  I jogged 4 miles with my wife, I pedaled my bike to and from work, and I used the cargo net climbing as my PM workout.  I had my arms burning!  I climbed 4 or 5 times and that was enough.  I can’t wait to see how I feel tomorrow.

Y2W19 Day 2

Nothing special today.  We were going to do a morning run but the weather did not cooperate.  A little too rainy.  So I hit the gym and lifted this morning.  I did bench press, leg presses and standing curls.  After that I jogged a mile for some cardio.  After work I hit the gym again and did another 30 minutes of cardio on the

Y2W19 Day 1

What a horrible night of sleep.  I was tossing and turning and did not fall asleep until some time after11:30 pm.  I was then up at 4am.  SUX!

AM:

45 min elliptical machine

 

PM:   skipped it to get more stuff for the cargo net.  The net is almost at 2.0 status.   I held it taunt so Honey bunny could climb up to the top.  She did it.  She tried without me holding it steady and was not successful.  But she will forever have the honor of being first to the top!

That’s my baby!  She can do anything!

Y2W18 Day 7

Today was a great day.  Today there was no hiking, no biking, no anything that was normal outside me going to the gym for 30 minutes on the elliptical machine.  What I did do was build a cargo net for climbing in my backyard.   I am calling it Cargo net 1.0  since it is the beginning and will need some updating to be what I need it to be.  It is good but some of the cross section steps are too far apart and it is too difficult to step up to the next step.  That is OK since I have a fix in mind.  Soon there will be the new and improved Cargo net 2.0!

It came out pretty good and as I had hoped.  I can’t wait to be able to fully use it!

AM:

Today I worked a very long work day for some over time.  I worked 7am to 5pm!  It was a killer.  I was going stir crazy for the last hour and a half.  My body was sore and my mind could not think propperly.  I was thinking I was making mistakes and then I was second and third guessing myself.  I was so glad to have the day end.  I picked up some middle eastern food o

AM:

4.2 mile jog with my wife through the neighborhoods.

 

PM:

30 min elliptical trainer

Boy an I tired!  I worked an extended day to make up some time I lost yesterday and I have to work some OT tomorrow.  I don’t know what to expect but know I will at least be getting time and half for my efforts.  I plan to use this money to fund my climbing/cargo net.  I am really excited about the though of having it to do some full body workouts climbing.  I am planning to install a bell at the top to ring once you make it to the top.  You know something to look forward to!

Y2W18 Day 4

I did something different today,  I started my workout with 30 minutes of weight lifting.  It felt pretty good.  I might switch my lifting to the mornings since it is not as busy there at that time.  From there I did 30 minutes on the elliptical machine to continue my sweating.   I got out of work early today and headed straight home.  I did not have the energy to work out again and I was very tired.  I did not fall asleep  while on the couch watching TV but I bet I could have if I had  gone to bed.  So I do not know if my tiredness is from the lifting or from the fact it is Thursday and lack of sleep is catching up to me.  I have to work this Saturday so that will be another day without extra sleep.  But it will be for a good cause,  I will be using that money to build an exercise cargo net to climb in our back yard.  It will be an adventure!
