Ten weeks have come and gone. Hard to believe. That is like when I went through basic training for the Army. It has been challenging at times, but never overwhelming. I have had to dial things in to get to the better results and progress and I will need to do it again before my 26 weeks are up.
Today was another travel day from visiting family. We stayed the night and were treated to a power outage from the wind and rian storm. Bummer. No TV, no computer, no box fan to fall asleep to like I normally do. Fortunately I did have my ipod and was able to fall asleep listoning to music. I got about 7 hours of sleep. That is not bad but for a week day, but I like to get closer to 9 hours on the weekend to help beat the sleep deficit I have all week. Of course I did not get more than 6 hours of sleep Friday night into Saturday so I was behind my usual pattern. Once we got home I crashed. We had some lunch and I was off to bed for a nap. I slept for an hour. I got up to a beatufl afternoon with the hopes of going to the gym but felt like I had a hangover! Lack of sleep with a few cups of coffee does that to me. I laid down on the couch to watch some TV with my wife and fell asleep again! I was more tired than I thought. After the power nap to follow the starter nap we went out for a neighborhood bike ride. There were a few small hills but for the most part it was a leisurely ride. We rode for 35 minutes. Not a great workout in distance or intensity, but it beat taking a third nap.
Today I finished the day eating 1,817 calories. This again is under my goal of 2,200 but my activity did not warrent eating more. I do not feel hungry so all is good.
We stopped at a Perkens dinner for breakfast. I had 3 blue berry pancakes, 3 turkey sausages and 2 hard boiled eggs. I ate one of the yolks. I did have 2.5 cups of coffee.
Driving I ate an apple and some baby carrots plus cut red peppers as a snack. We ate lunch when we got home and I ate chicken haleem with white rice and chick peas. I really enjoyed this! I have wanted the chicken haleem since last week!
Dinner was a treat my wife prepared. She heated a Trader Joe’s Misoyaki Turbot fish meal. We put it over salad and had yogurt and grapes as a dessert. The fish was only 210 calories so I also had an apple with a serving of peanut butter.
I feel like I ate fairly well, but lacked on my exercises 2 days in a row. It could not be helped due to a family member in the hospital combined with the road trip. We did make the effort today with a neighborhood bike ride, but it was a too little too late exercise event. On the fun scale it was a 10 though. We enjoy wandering the nearby neighborhoods and see the flowers, houses and yard projects as they change through out the season.
I am looking forward to being back in my routine tomorrow and making so
