Today I had to work offsite so I exercised at home. I get a better workout in the gym but I would have lost 10 minutes each way if I had gone there. Instead I put that time into pushups and squats.

Work was busy today. I was racing against the clock to be done and out before rush hour kicked in. Today I was lucky!

Today was a semi-busy day at work. I was tired when I got home and it took me until 7pm before I felt like exercising. I am slowly getting back into my groove. The vacation was good for me to clear my head and rest some but now it is time to get back into things. Summer will be here before I know it and we will be hiking all kinds of crazy distances so I got to get ready now.

Today was another restful day. I am not back to normal yet. I expect it will take me a couple more days to be back in the groove.

Dinner tonight was a normal one. I cooked some chicken, and then roasted asparagus and red pepper in the oven. YUM!

Today was a travel day. It has been a rough few days. many hours and miles in the car. We got home and I settled in on the couch. Tomorrow starts the grind all over again.

Today is Valentines day. I got my wife flowers sent to work and while working today I decided to make her some chocolate covered strawberries. Here is how they turned out:

yep, if you set them down next to the store bought ones you would not be able to tell which was which.  Miriam  laughed so hard when she saw them it was totally worth doing.  I think my next attempt will be more successful since I now know what not to do.

Today was another busy day at work. I was going like crazy. I caught a mistake I made from the day before and was able to correct it so it did not affect anyone else. I can’t wait for the weekend and some fun in the snow!

Y3W2 Day 2

3.5 mile jog!

It was really tough this morning going that far. I have been doing the elliptical machine and weights in the morning and have slacked off on jogging. I felt sore today but not horribly so. I am going to give the elliptical and weights routine another couple weeks and by then it might be warm enough for regular jogging outside again.
