Week 36 Day 1

I set a new personal record! I ran a mile in under 8 minutes and 30 seconds.

Sure I know for many that is not fast but for me, that sure is.  I have been struggling to break below the 9 minute mile threshold.  In fact I had stopped trying for a while and I did not plan to run fast today but as I started I felt good and kept going faster until I realized I was going to be under 9 minutes for the mile.

After the fast mile I jogged a mile in 11 minutes then moved on to the elliptical machine and stepper going for 20 minutes each.  Later in the day I went back and hit the weights.  I did assisted pull-ups, leg presses, incline bench press, floor to overhead presses with dumbbells, lateral raises, and the curl machine.  It was a good session at 52 minutes.  I felt worked but not over worked.

I seemed to have eaten ok today.  My calorie tracker is showing I consumed 2,043 calories.  I slept in late today and putzed around the house before hitting the gym for my AM workout so I did not eat as many meals/snacks as I would have so that worked out to my favor.  I look forwa
