5 sets of assisted pull-ups
45 min elliptical machine

17 min bike to work

PM:
14 min bike home (My fasted time yet!)
45 min walk through the neighborhoods with my wife

Today rocked. Work was good, the weather was great, I pedaled in, I had a best time for getting home, and I had a great walk with my wife. We had salmon for dinner and enjoyed TV together. Life is good!

Y2W15 Day 3

We jogged today!  WooHoo!

So this morning we headed out and did a 3 mile jog.  I was feeling great and my wife a little slow.  you know what that means… I was faster than her today!  Well at least in the begining and the final sprint.  If we were jogging an event she would have passed me what I slowed down and I would not have seen her again until the finish line, where she would be waiting for me.

So I worked hard all day and then hit the gym.  I “took it easy” and did 30 minutes on the eliptical machine.  I got home to start cooking dinner and my wife got home minutes latter and decided she wanted to cook me dinner.  Who was I to refuse such an offer.  She made ground turkey balls seasoned with middle eastern spices and also made us bulgar wheat.  It was another great meal!

Y2W15 Day 2

AM:
10 min jog
35 min elliptical machine
15 min stair stepper

PM:
skipped workout to take care of some errands.

Today was a pretty good day.  I had a great morning workout and work went well.  I was in the groove, in the zone, I was being the ball, I was unstoppable!  I hope tomorrow will be the same!

Y2W15 Day 1

AM:
3 mile jog with my wife

PM:
33 minutes weight lifting

Today was a really decent day. I jogged with my wife in the morning (but felt really tired and not into it), took a nap once I got home, woke up and went to work. Work flew by and I was lifting in the gym before I new it. Then it was home to some vegitarian lasagna ( spinach and eggplant, YUM!) and TV with my wife. Life is good!

Y2W14 Day 7

Another week gone by.  I feel pretty good about today.  This weekend was the first weekend in a long time that was not all about walking really long distances.  Today we went out for a 2 hour bike ride.  It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining and lots of folks were out.  We rode along the Potomac river on the mount Vernon trail.  What a day!

While on the way home my wife and I saw something too funny. A Cab Driver was yanking out nose hairs at a red light!

Y2W14 Day 5

Friday!  and I am exhausted,  I did not jog with my wife at all this week so I missed out on the bonus 45 min to 1 hour of sleep I would get by laying back down after the jog.  I feel like I could have used it this time.  It is 8pm and I can barely stay awake.

Y2W14 Day 4

I tried something different this morning during my workout.  I did not try to run.  I did 60 minutes split between 2 different elliptical machines.  The strides and elliptical motions were different so I used them both.    I had a good day of work and was pretty active.  I still felt good after work so it was off to the gym!  I did some weight lifting.

Y2W14 Day 3

Today I was feeling less sore but I still could not jog a mile.  I walked 20 minutes at incline then jogged 5 minutes.  After that I did 30 minutes on the elliptical machine.  I worked my day then hit the gym for another 30 minutes on the elliptical machine.  I hope to be back to my normal jogging in a couple more days.  Fortunately the weather has been rainy in the mornings so I would not have been jogging outside anyway.  Time is a ticking and in another week I will be registering myself and wife for the Army Ten Miler.  I got to get back on track.

Y2W14 Day 2

My back!

This morning I decided to get back on track.  I got to the gym early and started on the treadmill.  Oh no!  My back muscles were hurting as I jogged.  I even slowed it down a a SLOW jog and then I had to stop after 5 minutes.  So off to the elliptical machine.  All was good there so I did 50 minutes on it.

Work was OK and before I knew it I was at the gym lifting weights.  I noticed my back muscles acting up again as I was getting up and down from the leg press machine.  Not cool.  I was able to do all my exercises as I wanted so I did not suffer much but it really sux when you are not being your best or feeling 100%.
