30 min neighborhood walk with my wife

Today was mostly a good day but I did get hit really had with allergies at work. Enough so that I needed to go to 7-11 to get some medicine. I don’t usually get bothered by allergies but something sure got me today. I am going to bed earlier tonight with the hopes some extra sleep will having me feel better.

Oh and Gary, in case you read this, you need more cowbell!

Y2W11 Day 1

Today I jogged 6 miles to start out me day.  It felt good to do it.  I needed to do it.  So, I did it, and I’ll do it again!

I pedaled into work also for some bonus cardio.  The day was expected to hit high 80’s so I brought in some shorts and a t-shirt to wear on the way  home.  I was smart and pedaled straight to the gym and did some weight lifting.  I did incline bench press, bench press and seated shoulder presses.  It felt good.  I wanted to do some leg presses but did not since my  right knee is still not 100%.  I am good to go for running and that is more important to me than leg pressing a bunch of weight.

Dinner tonight was a favorite, STEAK!  I cooked some spina

Y2W10 Day 7

Another fun day!

AM:
22 min jog
23 min elliptical machine

PM:
60 min neighborhood walk with my wife.

I had some fun today, my amazing wife ran a 5k fun run and had her best time ever at 27 minutes! WOW you go babe! So while she was doing that I went to the range and did some target shooting. I shot my Kel-tec P32 and a Glock 30 .45acp. It was great to put some holes in paper. After that I bought some new running shoes and did some grocery shopping. Life is good!

Y2W10 Day 6

Family fun day!

Today was all about meeting up with our family and sharing a good meal.  Before the family fun was to start my wife and I went out for a 2 hour walk through some neighborhoods.  We also stopped to do some shopping for me to get new running shoes but my feet were swolen and sore by that point and I could not find anything comfortable when my feet are hurting.  We headed home empty handed , had some lunch and I took a nap.

Before I knew it we were heading out to meet up with family.  We had a blast.  good food, good folks and good fun.  We got to enjoy the family pets (they have a variety) and we played some games.  Today was a great day.  And as a bonus my brother in law and I will now be making plans to take our nephew to the range for some target shooting.  He is a big fan of the airsoft guns and has a few of his own.  He was very interested in going out and doing some real shooting.  It will be cool getting to share that with him.   We used to do family fun days going to the range as a family and th

Y2W10 Day 5

Let’s go for a run…

This morning my wife and I set out for a nice little jog.  We ended up doing 4.25 miles.  We did it in 45 minutes and felt really good doing it.

I pedaled into work today and ended up doing 33 minutes on the bike round trip.

Before we had dinner tonight we decided to go for a walk.  We walked for about 55 minutes.  We were surprised how long we were out for,  we did not plan that long of a walk but are glad we did it.

Today turned out to be a very active day!

Y2W10 Day 4

The weekend is almost here!

AM:
11 min jog
20 min stair stepper
30 min elliptical machine

PM:
45 min neighborhood walk with my wife. We saw our neighbors out walking too!

I did get a bonus mile of walking today to and from my truck and work.

Today was an active day and I am feeling the effects of being on my feet all day. It is time for me to get some new jogging sneakers. I think I have worn mine past the point I should have.

Foods today were enjoyable. I really have been enjoying my hot pepper omelets in the mornings for breakfast. Today I chopped up a jalapeno, a cherry pepper and a habanero. The fumes were extreme coming out of the pan. My poor wife went running from the house because she felt like she was maced. She survived and so did I with eating it. Here is a picture of the peppers, turkey sausage and some chopped onion cooking in the pan before I scrambled up my eggs and added them.

I almost forgot, I also added some cherry tomatoes too.  There is something special about the hot stuff in the morning.

Y2W10 Day 3

AM:
15 min jog

PM:
30 min walk with wife through the neighborhood

Bonus: 1 mile walk to and from my my truck and work

Today was a pretty good day. Work was OK, my workouts were OK and I felt pretty good. My wife was off today and made us an amazing dinner. She made a curry chicken with Bulgar wheat and artichokes. This is not something I would ever cook myself but boy was it good!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the salad also.  Can’t forget the salad!

Bonus- I rode to and from work today on my bike for another 30 minutes of cardio.

Today was a good day.  I felt active throughout the day.  I was lucky this morning and was able to get another 45 minutes of sleep after my jog and I think that helped.  I ate fairly well but my calorie intake was slightly high at 2,580 calories.  My goal is to be in bed soon so I can get more rest and feel good a

Today was an OK day but I was feeling tired all day. I missed out on taking a nap this weekend and it caught up to me. I am heading to bed early tonight.

Today was a great Easter. I had a chance to spend some time with an old friend from my Army days. I got to meet his family and had a blast catching up with him.
